How many delivery messages came in this week? A number is only useful if you can say which messages were counted and why. In this course, you’ll write the logic behind a small feedback report in JavaScript, step by step, inside supplied functions.
You’ll learn how to:
- Ask one message a yes-or-no question with
===and store the Boolean answer - Run code only when a condition holds, with an
ifblock, and join two checks with&& - Visit every message in a list with a
for...ofloop - Count the messages that match, with a running count that starts at zero
- Keep the matching messages themselves in a new list with
push(), original IDs and all
You’ll finish with a project: a topic report that selects and counts approved messages on any requested topic, works on new lists, including empty ones, and that you can explain message by message.
You don’t need programming experience to get started and you won’t need to install anything because you’ll practice in interactive coding exercises right inside your browser.
