Build a Feedback Report You Can Explain (Overview)

In this course, you’ll build a feedback report that someone else can use and question. It answers the brief’s question: how many approved feedback messages arrived about each topic in the reporting period, and which messages are they?

The finished report shows:

  • A count for each topic, such as delivery 2, billing 0 and app 1 for one batch
  • The messages behind each count, so anyone who doubts a number can read the records behind it
  • Needs review for pending records
  • Excluded for the records your input rules set aside, each with a reason

AI can write useful code. Understanding that code helps you describe what you want, adapt it, and explain the result.

Along the way, you’ll:

  • Agree on a brief, connect your functions to the report app, and count the messages in one reporting period
  • Optionally, compare two periods of equal length
  • Adapt a rule with an AI suggestion when the brief changes, and check it
  • Fix a surprising count yourself
  • Hand the report over, with an example and one concrete limitation

You’ll need to write reusable functions and handle the agreed input rules. This course supplies a new version of the report app, with setup instructions and a working starting point even if you arrive directly. You don’t need an AI account.
