Your functions from Compose Your Report Functions pass their tests. But the person who reads your report won’t open an exercise. They’ll use a report app. This course supplies a new version of that app, so it’s time to connect your functions to its documented inputs and check the result.
Download this course’s source code and unzip it into a new folder. Keep the previous course’s project unchanged. Open starter/feedback-report/index.html by double-clicking it, then open the same folder in your code editor:
The starter contains a working answer to the first exercise so you can check the connection even if you arrived here directly. Replace it with your own checked answer. checkpoints/ contains recovery versions after later exercises; completed/ contains the finished app before the mentor’s extra change.
The browser still loads ordinary script files, so no server or new installation is needed. What changes is the agreement between those files: buildReport() replaces makeReport(), the records have separate topic and status fields, and the loader now handles required values and duplicates.
