You’ve built every piece of a topic report by now: a function that selects messages about a topic, a result object with their count, and a display that only shows what it’s handed. In this project, you’ll combine them into a report that works for any topic and on more than one set of messages. First come the brief and a plan, then the exercises where you build it.
Read the Brief
Here’s the brief for the project:
The app loads a set of feedback messages, each with an ID, a topic, and its text. For any topic someone picks, it needs the topic, how many messages are about it, and which messages they are, so that anyone can open each one and check it. The same functions must work on this week’s messages and on a second set with other IDs and topics. The app shows the report on the screen.
So the question the report answers is: How many messages are about this topic, and which ones? Someone deciding which problem to look at first can compare counts, then open the messages behind a number before acting on it.
