Explain an Exclusion and a Label

Your makeReport() now passes tests on batches it has never seen. However, a report is useful only when you can explain its answers to someone who asks, “Why isn’t this message counted?” or “Is that label right?”

In this practice session, Mentor AI shows you a small batch and the report your rules produce for it. Then it asks you three things, one at a time:

  1. Explain one exclusion: Why a record ended up in excluded and not in the counts or in pending, which lists records whose label is null, a value with a type of its own
  2. Judge one suggested label: An allowed label that an AI assistant suggested for a pending message
  3. Plan a change nobody has asked for yet: What your report would do with it, how you’d notice, and which small batches you’d check it with

There are no tests here and nothing to get exactly right on the first try. Answer in your own words, and keep your project open in case you want to look at your code.
